A) RWA Trail runs are designed to guide you along single track and green freeways in and around the Edmonton area. *Please note we will challenge your comfort level at times.
B) When mandatory safety gear is required, i.e. –spikes (in the winter months), headlamps, gloves, safety glasses, etc. please make sure you have these items before the start of the run. This mandatory safety gear is for your own safety on the trails.
C) No iPods/ear buds
D) Dogs are more than welcome on all runs unless otherwise posted. Runners please be aware that you are responsible for your fur-babies at all times.
E) WATER – Hydration Packs – you have to get used to carrying one, might as well make it during your training run.
F) Nobody runs alone - either turn around, run back to the group behind you or wait for them to catch up.
G) If you are uncomfortable with the terrain that you are running in, please reach out to the nearest Team Leader and let them know.
H) ***If you are not able to run the posted distance, please let a Team Leader know before leaving the group.
I) Nutrition on runs - gels, bars, whatever works for you – this is a must have for longer runs.
J) Protective eye wear (sunglasses, clear glasses for the night runs)
K) Hats (protection from ticks and the sun) –Don’t be without a hat
L) Trail Race Volunteers – Great way for the family/friends to participate while you're running, RWA greatly encourages all runners (who are not able to run), family and friends to volunteer at the races and join in the fun, be a part of what’s happening!
